Rita holds an MA degree in Creative Photography and Painting from the State University of Iowa and an undergraduate degree in Art, English, and  Education from the College of St Benedict.  She has exhibited extensively in the upper Midwest and has works  in collections throughout the US and Europe.  Rita finds inspiration in the natural world, especially in the layering of color and shadow in the landscape.
